Three rooms, three honest directions.
Three different real rooms, run through the live tool, each shown with the direction it produced and the specific things worth double-checking before you buy anything based on a result. These are real outputs from the production pipeline — not a promise your own room will render identically.

Why this direction
This living room was already bright and clearly laid out, so the direction leans into that instead of fighting it: lighter, lower-contrast furniture and a woven neutral rug in place of the room's original bold black-and-white geometric one. Everything structural — the ceiling fan, the window, the doorway through to the dining area, the floor's plank direction, the wall outlets — stays exactly where it was. What changed is the sofa, the rug, the wall art, the plant, the coffee table, and the overall color temperature.
- Measure the sofa and rug footprint against your actual floor space — the result shows a style direction, not your room's real dimensions.
- The cream sofa and woven rug read differently under your own lighting than on a screen — get a fabric swatch before you commit to a color.
- If a material looks like linen, wood, or rattan, confirm the specific product and its price before assuming it fits your budget.
Why this direction
This bedroom started as a real lived-in room, not a styled listing photo — an exercise bike, a recliner, a glider and ottoman, forest-green walls. The direction clears the clutter and swaps in a calmer, lighter furniture set, but it doesn't touch the room itself: both ceiling fans, the tray ceiling, the window and blinds, the white wainscoting, and the glass-paneled side door are all exactly where they started. Of the three examples here, this is the most useful test of what the tool actually does, because the starting point is an ordinary room, not a showroom.
- A cleared-out result doesn't guarantee your existing furniture (exercise equipment, recliners, and the like) will still fit once the room is restyled — that's a layout call only you can make in the real space.
- Confirm any new wall color under your own lighting, not the render's — the direction shown here is a starting point, not a paint-matched swatch.
- If you're keeping any of your current furniture, check it against the new layout's footprint before buying anything new to go around it.
Framing note: the original photo is a tall, tight crop (1600×2400); the result is wider. The section of wall and the floor lamp on the right side of the result extend past what the camera actually captured — that part of the image is generated, not photographed. Judge the fireplace and floor against the original; treat the far right of the result as illustrative rather than a preview of a specific wall.
Why this direction
This one starts from an extreme close-up crop — barely more than a fireplace corner and the edge of a sofa. We tested it specifically because it's the product's hardest line to hold: does it touch anything that isn't furniture? It doesn't. The fireplace's stacked plaster mantel, the herringbone-tile firebox, the dark accent wall, and the wood floor are all untouched. What changed is the sofa, the coffee table, the rug, and a new floor lamp.
- Fixtures like a fireplace, mantel, or built-in are not something this tool redesigns — it's only proposing furniture and decor around them, never a construction or renovation change.
- The right portion of this result extends past the original photo's frame — don't treat it as a preview of a specific piece of wall or floor you own.
- Tight, close-up input photos like this one give the model less room to work with — a fuller shot of the space will generally produce a more useful direction.
What situations produce weaker results
The three cases above cover a range on purpose — an ordinary bright room, a genuinely cluttered lived-in room, and an extreme close-up crop — and all three held up. But a few input conditions reliably make results worse, based on what the model has to work with:
- Extremely dark rooms. Without enough visible detail, the redesign has to guess at surfaces and proportions it cannot actually see.
- Wide-angle or fisheye distortion. Ultra-wide phone lenses bend straight walls and ceilings, and the model can mistake that curve for real architecture instead of a lens artifact. In our own testing a flat-ceilinged bedroom came back rendered as a vaulted attic room — a ceiling that does not exist. Shoot with the standard lens where you can.
- Heavy occlusion. A room mostly hidden behind boxes, stacked moving materials, or people leaves too little of the actual space to redesign convincingly. A few extra chairs or a treadmill on the floor — like the bedroom example above — is a different, much more common situation, and one the tool generally handles fine.
- Extremely tight, close-up crops. The less of the room the camera captures, the less material the model has to redesign around. The fireplace example above is a stress test of this, not a typical shot — a fuller view of the space consistently produces a more useful direction.
We are describing these failure modes in words rather than showing fabricated "bad" examples. Real failure-case screenshots will be added here once they are captured during the tool's validation phase — we would rather leave this section text-only than stage a fake failure.
